Ella Change Headshot Inland Pacific Ballet 2022

Ella Chang

Ella is 15 years old and began her dance training at age three, studying tap, ballet, and jazz at local studios until she found a “home” at the IPB Academy in January 2016. Ella has performed in 6 seasons of Inland Pacific Ballet’s The Nutcracker, dancing as a Kissing Doll, Flower, Clara Friend, and Icicle. In addition, Ella has also participated in IPB Academy’s Jr. Broadway Program production of Aladdin Jr., and annual ballet Spring Recitals: Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and The Little Mermaid. Ella has participated in the IPB Academy Summer Intensive Program for several years, and in 2019 attended the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive in Orange County, CA. In 2021, she attended Bolshoi Ballet Academy’s Summer Intensive in Connecticut and trained at Kaatsbaan in New York.
During the summer of 2022, she trained at Ellison Ballet in New York City. Ella has received scholarships for Bolshoi Ballet Academy and Next Generation Ballet in Florida in 2021 and 2022 for their summer programs. Another highlight of 2022 was competing at the Youth America Grand Prix and receiving top 24 in Los Angeles and Top 12 in San Diego. She was part of the Ensemble that received Top 12 at regionals and competed at YAGP Finals in Florida. This year, Ella is honored to be dancing in the role of Clara for The Nutcracker. She is very thankful to have been chosen as an IPB Academy Apprentice and wants to thank all of the IPB Academy teachers for their mentorship and guidance. Ella is looking forward to another great season with Inland Pacific Ballet.
