Genevieve Ramirez is a 14-year-old honors freshman of Rowland Unified. She began her Ballet training at age 2 with local recreation programs. When she was 4, she attended her first production of Inland Pacific Ballet’s The Nutcracker, and with aspirations to be cast as a Bon Bon, began her training with Inland Pacific Ballet Academy in January 2015. With Inland Pacific Ballet Academy, she has performed in the following spring recitals: Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Swan Lake, The Little Mermaid, and the musical The Lion King, Jr. She has joined IPB’s professional company in The Little Mermaid and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: The Broadway Musical and nine seasons of The Nutcracker. Genevieve placed in the Top 6 for large ensemble contemporary with Subtle Intentions at the Youth America Grand Prix Los Angeles in January 2022. She trained in summer intensives at Chicago’s Joffrey Ballet Academy in 2022, Seattle’s Pacific Northwest Ballet School in 2023, and Sacramento Ballet School and Alonzo King LINES Ballet in 2024. Genevieve is grateful for the opportunity to serve as an IPB Academy Apprentice. She particularly loves working with the youngest ballet students on Saturday mornings and is so proud to see them steal the spotlight on stage. Her fondest ballet moment was sharing The Nutcracker stage with her role model, Mira Nadon, an IPBA alum and Principal Dancer at New York City Ballet. When she’s not dancing, Genevieve loves spending time with family and friends, attending live performances, reading, baking, cooking, traveling, serving as a Girl Scout, and playing piano.
