Nellianna Castro is 22 years old and a Senior at California State Polytechnic University. She is a Psychology Major with a minor in Fine Arts. Her love of dance began at the age of 8 when she attended Valverde School of Performing Arts for Hip-Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, and Ballet. She was also involved in Gymnastics and trained at Precision Gymnastics for 3 years where she developed great strength and discipline for fitness. Nellianna joined Inland Pacific Ballet Academy in 2013 and discovered a deeper passion for classical Ballet. Attending multiple summer intensives and performing in many academy recitals was the highlight of her teenage years.
In 2020 and 2024 she auditioned and was thrilled to have been accepted into American Ballet Theaters Collegiate Summer Intensive programs. As an adult ballet dancer and 2nd-year Apprentice, she continues to enjoy training, dancing & performing throughout the year, especially in the annual production of the Nutcracker. She is thankful for her IPB Academy teachers and the opportunity to continue training and performing with Inland Pacific Ballet.
