Sophia Hernandez is a senior in high school. She has loved dancing ballet since she was five years old. She has a great passion for performing and a love of the arts. Her classical ballet experience includes performances at Lewis Family Playhouse, Fox Theater in Riverside, and Bridges Auditorium. In her effort to become the best dancer she can be and take her ballet training to the next level, she joined Inland Pacific Ballet Academy during the 2021 Summer Intensive. She is starting her fourth year with IPBA and has performed in IPBA’s annual spring recitals and company performances such as Fall Fest, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and her most favorite, The Nutcracker. In addition to ballet, she has continued to grow her experience in musical theater, performing in Matilda Jr., Beauty & the Beast Jr., and Willy Wonka Jr., also with IPBA. She enjoys growing her experience in various dance styles, such as contemporary, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Sophia’s passion, strong work ethic, performance, and ability to learn quickly has given her many opportunities and the ability to become an Academy Apprentice II as well as an Apprentice Instructor where she loves that she can be an inspiration to young dancers as much as they are an inspiration to her. Sophia would like to thank her teachers for the investment, support, and knowledge that they have provided her, and is excited for another year with IPBA! Matthew 5:16
