Zaylin Elleni Cano began her dance training with the Inland Pacific Ballet Academy and continued at Lines Ballet of San Francisco, Ballet Rambert of London, with teachers from the Royal Ballet in direct connection to Nureyev, Fredrick Aston, and Martha Graham, and at Phoenix Dance Theatre. She has toured professionally and danced internationally in full-length classical ballets, neo-classical works, contemporary/modern works, musical theater, jazz and tap pieces, and with cruise lines. Classical/contemporary highlights include dancing with Inland Pacific Ballet, Ballet Rambert, Phoenix Dance Theatre, RODA (a special project in London), and projects with Stephanie Gilliland. Zaylin created her own dance company in England, BFLA Dance Theatre, and her choreography was selected to be performed at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London. She performed solo work at St. Paul’s Cathedral and collaborated with Ross McKim at St. Paul’s Cathedral in a BBC televised Easter Sunday event. Zaylin holds a BA in dance from the University of Kent, England, a Pilates certification in both mat work and all apparatus from the Kane School of Core Integration, NYC., and a MA in Holistic Integrative Education from CSU San Bernardino. She is currently a faculty member for Inland Pacific Ballet Academy and is a Ballet Mistress for Inland Pacific Ballet. Zaylin also teaches jazz, tap, and modern dance technique courses at Chaffey College as a faculty member in the dance department. Most recently Zaylin was thrilled to become a part of the production team at the California Theatre for their 2016–2017 season.
