Inland Pacific Ballet
Celebrating 33 Years of Excellence in Dance
Founded in 1993, Inland Pacific Ballet (IPB) has become the premier professional ballet company in Southern California, celebrated for its rich repertoire and dedication to the art form. Over the years, the Company has presented iconic works such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Blake/Mendelsohn), Les Sylphides (Fokine/Chopin), Graduation Ball (Lichine/Strauss), and Swan Lake Act II (Schergen after Ivanov/Tchaikovsky). Full-length classical masterpieces include Giselle (Coralli, Perrot/Adam), Coppélia (Holden after Ivanov/Delibes), and the beloved The Nutcracker (Blake-Koenig/Tchaikovsky).
IPB’s contemporary repertoire includes timeless works such as Beginnings (Choo San Goh/Berkeley), Rodeo (DeMille/Copeland), and masterpieces by the legendary George Balanchine, including Who Cares? (Gershwin), Concerto Barocco (J.S. Bach), and Serenade (Tchaikovsky).
The Company has also created a growing body of original works, including The Little Mermaid (Eric Skinner and Daniel Kirk), Dracula (Arturo Fernandez), Cinderella (Laurence Blake), and Beauty and the Beast (Clinton Rothwell), showcasing its commitment to innovation in the world of ballet.
A Commitment to Arts Education
Since 1995, IPB’s educational outreach has introduced more than 200,000 schoolchildren from preschool to high school to the magic of ballet through its signature program, A Young Person’s Guide to the Ballet. This program, which includes live performances and an educational lecture/demonstration, offers students the opportunity to explore the world of dance and stagecraft in a professional theater setting. The Educational Outreach Program continues to be a highly valued and affordable way to bring the arts to students from public, private, charter, and home schools across Southern California.
With the support of generous funders, including The Haskell Fund, US Bank Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts, IPB remains a leader in arts education, inspiring the next generation of dancers and ballet enthusiasts.
Looking Forward to the Future
As we celebrate 33 years of artistry and outreach, Inland Pacific Ballet looks forward to continuing its legacy of excellence, creativity, and community engagement, enriching the cultural fabric of Southern California for years to come.
