P.J. is thirteen years old and an eighth-grader at El Roble Intermediate School. He began taking a variety of dance classes with his younger brother at Village Dance Arts in Claremont starting in second grade, including ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop. He attended an open-call audition for Inland Pacific Ballet’s 2019 production of The Nutcracker, and was cast as Fritz and a Mouse. In Summer 2020, he attended the School of American Ballet’s’s New York Junior Session, and The Joffrey Academy of Dance’s junior summer intensive, but remotely due to COVID-19. P.J. was also to have made his musical theater debut as “Billy Elliot” in the Candlelight Pavilion’s musical production of Billy Elliot in Spring 2020, but all indoor theater performances were canceled due to the pandemic. Since Fall 2020, P.J. has taken ballet at the IPB Academy while keeping up a few other activities, including hip hop, gymnastics, parkour, and fishing in his spare time. He was cast as a Soldier Doll, Mouse, and Russian for IPB’s The Nutcracker in 2020. In summer 2021, he attended his first in-person summer intensive at Boston Ballet.
