A Midsummer Night's Dream
IPBA’s 2023 Spring ballet recital is based off William Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This comedic story is full of playful fairies, love spells, and misunderstandings. It is a great performing experience.
The recital is open to Academy students from Pre-Ballet to Level 6.
Students will be performing the weekend of June 3-4, 2023 at Lewis Family Playhouse in Rancho Cucamonga.
Deadline to Sign-Up: January 25th
About our annual spring recital
There are many “firsts” for recital students each year. It can be a dancer’s first time on stage, first time wearing a tutu, first time performing on pointe, dancing a solo or dancing a principal role. Mostly, it is a joyful celebration of all of the hard work and dedication the students — and families — have accomplished throughout the year and a chance for IPBA students to shine and share their art with family, friends and the community.
IPBA’s annual Spring Recital presents a classic story ballet performed entirely by students.
Adaptations of classics such as The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Coppélia are fully staged at a local theater with beautiful scenery and costumes. The annual spring recital is open to all IPBA student levels, from 3 year old Pre-Ballet students through the upper division’s most advanced dancers, and often includes upwards of 150 dancers.
Audiences enjoy attending each year to watch young talent develop and grow up through the IPB Academy ranks. Many of Inland Pacific Ballet’s professional Company dancers grew up through the IPB Academy and gained valuable performing experience in the annual recital, where dancers gain experience in roles that groom them for the challenges they will face as professionals as well as valuable life skills through being part of a performing group.
