Our Performance Pathways provide students with unique opportunities to take their training to the stage. From full-length productions of beloved classics to contemporary showcases, dancers gain invaluable performance experience while building confidence, artistry, and technical excellence. These programs are designed to nurture aspiring artists and offer a glimpse into the world of professional ballet.



Musical Theater Troupe
If your child has a passion for singing, dancing, and acting, our Musical Theater Troupe is the perfect place for them to shine! This exciting performance troupe offers a unique opportunity for students to train and refine their singing, dancing, and acting skills while immersing themselves in the world of musical theater.
Starting in August and running through May, students will experience the thrill of rehearsing and performing in a supportive and creative environment. Our program is designed to enhance their ability to perform and build confidence both on and off the stage, as they work toward various studio-related events and performances.
Schedule
- Thursday – 8:15-9:15pm (as needed; optional for level 2A-3B, required for 3C+)
- Saturday – 2:00-6:00pm or 12:00-2:00pm (levels 2A-3C)
(Rehearsal is usually 1.5-2.5 hours during this time)
The schedule is subject to change with additional rehearsals added depending on the time of year and upcoming performances.
Not all students will be required to attend every rehearsal.

What happens if my child misses rehearsals?
- Missing 2–3 consecutive rehearsals may result in dismissal from the program without a refund. Regular attendance is essential to maintain the quality and consistency of the performance. If your child misses a rehearsal, it may lead to changes in choreography, impacting the ensemble. Please email all absence notifications to admin@ipballet.org.
What is the refund policy?
- All fees must be paid on time. Payments received after the due date will incur a $35 late fee. Refunds are not provided for any fees.
Does my child need to audition to join the Musical Theater Troupe?
- No audition is required to join the Musical Theater Troupe. However, auditions will be held for students interested in lead or featured roles when we begin preparing for specific productions.

Academy Apprentice / Trainee
The IPB Academy Apprentice and Trainee positions offer an exciting and challenging opportunity for dancers with exceptional potential and dedication. Students in this program will train and perform at a professional level, gaining hands-on experience in a company environment. With a focus on responsibility, self-management, and communication, this program prepares dancers to excel both in the studio and in life! Our Apprentices and Trainees are held to the highest standards; they are role models for the entire studio.
Schedule
In addition to the Accelerated Divison classes:
Tuesday – 6:00-9:30pm
Friday – 6:00-9:30pm
Saturday – 2:00-6:30pm
Sunday – as needed
Not all dancers will be required to attend every rehearsal.

What are some community events Apprentice Trainees might participate in?
- We have performed at Village Venture in Claremont, Montclair Place Mall in Montclair, and Rancho Performing Arts Festival at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga.
Is the Apprentice Trainee Program physically and emotionally demanding?
- Yes, the Apprentice Trainee Program is a rigorous program that involves long hours and multiple training sessions each week. It is designed to prepare dancers physically and mentally for a professional dance career.
How is the rehearsal schedule communicated?
- A weekly rehearsal schedule will be emailed out every week to keep dancers and parents informed about class times, rehearsal schedules, and any changes. We recommend checking your email regularly to stay up to date and ensure your dancer is prepared for the week ahead.
What are some volunteer opportunities parents will have to fulfill their required volunteer hours?
- Throughout the year there will be a variety of volunteer opportunities available for parents to fulfill their required minimum volunteer hours. These opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- Chaperoning for events and performances
- Ushers for shows
- Assisting with our boutique or organizing merchandise
- Labeling spirit wear
- Cleaning up after performances
- Creating props or helping with set construction
- Painting sets and other creative tasks

Ensemble
The IPB Academy Ensemble Team is designed for dancers who are ready to take their skills to the next level while representing Inland Pacific Ballet Academy at exciting community events and prestigious IPB Company performances. Ensemble members rehearse both variations and group choreography, creating an incredible opportunity to develop teamwork, stage presence, and performance artistry.
This program emphasizes the importance of corps de ballet, where dancers learn to work in unison, building strength, coordination, and a deep sense of connection with their fellow performers. It’s not just about technique—it’s about cultivating the mental fortitude to thrive under the spotlight, handle performance nerves, and support each other as a team.

ADC IBC & YAGP
At Inland Pacific Ballet Academy, we proudly support students interested in competitive experiences with the American Dance Competition’s Youth International Ballet Competition (ADC IBC) and Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) with specialized coaching and guidance to help them achieve their dance goals. Our program emphasizes personal growth, artistry, and confidence, offering dancers valuable feedback from expert judges, one-on-one coaching, and stage experience.
While competitions are part of the journey, we focus on the joy of learning, performing, and refining skills. Whether you’re passionate about competing or simply seeking professional growth, our competitive program is here to inspire and support every dancer’s unique path.
Schedule
At Inland Pacific Ballet Academy (IPBA), we provide tailored coaching packages for dancers participating in the American Dance Competition’s Youth International Ballet Competition (ADC IBC) and Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) events at venues like the Barclay Theater in October, Las Vegas in January, and Huntington Beach in late January to early February.
Our coaching sessions include individualized training, group stamina runs, and dress rehearsals. Packages are designed to align with specific venues, ranging from 6 to 8 weeks of personalized coaching, stamina-focused group practices, and in-studio showings for parents and guests. Whether you choose a single session or combine fall and winter sessions, IPBA offers comprehensive preparation to help dancers excel on stage.

IPBA coaching fees are structured into packages based on the venues you select.
Each competitive organization has its own fees, which must be paid by the end of June. Please note that the longer the payment is delayed, the more likely your dancer may be waitlisted for the competition.

- Weekly rehearsal schedules will be emailed out. Dancers must attend warm-up classes before rehearsals and stamina runs. Missing warm-up may prevent participation in rehearsals.
What happens if my dancer misses a session?
- Dancers may make up 2 coaching sessions, except for those missed during holiday weeks. Sessions missed with less than 24 hours notice will be counted as taken. Absences must be emailed to admin@ipballet.org.
What is the attendance policy for technique classes?
- Dancers must be enrolled in the Accelerated Program all year. Consistent class absences may lead to dismissal from the YAGP program.
When are YAGP venue and rehearsal fees due?
- Venue fees must be paid before registration. Rehearsal fees are paid according to your chosen payment plan.
Are there any late fees?
- A $35 late fee will apply to any payments made after the deadline. There are no refunds for YAGP fees.
What happens if my dancer qualifies for the semi-finals?
- Additional coaching sessions, fees for coaches to attend finals, and travel expenses (airfare and accommodation) are the responsibility of the dancer’s family. Participation in the semi-finals is optional.
Are costume and choreography fees included?
- Costume materials and construction expenses are not included in the YAGP fees. All contemporary choreography will be commissioned by Inland Pacific Ballet Academy.
Can I add additional venues or variations after the deadline?
- To add extra venues or variations, email esanchez@ipballet.org. A late add-on fee of $50 applies.
Who approves the variations and costumes?
- The final decisions on variations and costume designs will be made by the IPBA Directors

Spring Recital
Our annual recital is a magical experience in which all students in our Afternoon Conservatory and Primary programs are invited to participate. It’s an incredible opportunity for students to be part of a full ballet production, learning their own special piece as part of a grand performance. From our adorable Pre-Ballet dancers to our more advanced Level 3Cs, each group contributes to bringing a beautiful classic ballet to life—past performances have included Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Coppélia.
This recital is more than just a performance; it’s a chance for students to experience the magic of being in a full-scale production. They’ll dive into the rehearsal process, gain valuable stage experience, and bond with fellow dancers across all levels. The older students get to mentor the younger ones, creating a supportive “big-sister” environment that makes this experience even more special. It’s a wonderful way to build confidence, create lasting memories, and celebrate all the hard work put in throughout the year!

- A high level of professionalism is expected from each dancer who accepts the privilege and the responsibility of dancing in this Recital.

Can I get a refund if my child withdraws mid-year?
No, refunds will not be issued if a student withdraws from the Recital. Withdrawals must be made by email, in-person requests will not be considered valid.
What happens if my child misses classes or rehearsals?
Consistent absences from class or missing 2-3 rehearsals in a row may result in dismissal from the recital, with no refunds.
When can my child keep their recital costume?
For Levels that have costumes ordered, they will get to keep their costume only after the last performance day.
What do dancers need to wear on performance days?
Dancers must wear a nude leotard, ballet pink tights, and pink ballet shoes on performance days.
What should my child wear to rehearsals?
Dancers should wear their level-specific leotard during rehearsals.
What is expected of dancers in the recital?
A high level of professionalism is expected from each dancer, who must take responsibility for their commitment to the recital experience.

This is an incredible opportunity for your child to audition for and be part of a professional production of The Nutcracker, a cherished holiday tradition that has captivated audiences for generations.
As part of Inland Pacific Ballet’s 30th season, your dancer will be immersed in the magic of a world-class ballet production. Not only will they gain valuable performance experience, but they will also learn what it takes to be part of a professional company. This is a unique opportunity for them to grow as a dancer, build confidence, and experience the joy and excitement of performing on stage.

Are rehearsals mandatory?
- Yes, all rehearsals are mandatory. Missing rehearsals can result in dismissal from the performance.
What if my child is sick?
- We understand that illness is sometimes unavoidable, and we want to ensure the health and safety of all our students. While we ask that students who are feeling unwell refrain from attending class or rehearsal, it’s important to note that children who are unable to keep up with the choreography due to illness or physical condition may be temporarily removed from the production until they are well enough to participate fully.
Are there any schedule changes?
- Performance dates and rehearsal times may change. Some roles may have late rehearsals. School Outreach performances will be held on Thursday and Friday mornings with early call times (as early as 8:00 AM).
How will we know the rehearsal schedule?
- Rehearsals start the last week of September/first week of October and are typically Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with Sundays added as we get closer to us being in the theater. A detailed rehearsal schedule is emailed out every week, which includes the specific times.
What happens if I have a schedule conflict?
- Please indicate any known conflicts on your audition form. Failing to inform us can result in immediate dismissal from the performance.
What about understudies?
- Understudies must attend all rehearsals, including block and tech rehearsals, and be ready to perform at any time.
What fees are associated with the Nutcracker?
- There is a rehearsal fee, costume rental fee, and a production fee. All fees are non-refundable.Please note, there is always a chance that a dancer will be removed from the production due to being unable to keep up with the choreography as needed for a professional performance. Fees will not be refunded.
Are tickets required for families to watch performances?
- Yes, families must purchase tickets for performances, but a discount code will be provided for cast members.
Who can go backstage?
- Only volunteers who have been background checked and have a mandated reporter certificate can go backstage.
Do dancers need to take warm-up class before rehearsals?
- Yes, dancers on pointe must take a warm-up class before rehearsals.
Will casting change?
- As this is a professional-level production, we sometimes face difficult decisions in the best interest of the performance. While we strive to ensure every dancer has the opportunity to perform, casting is never final. Dancers who are unable to keep up with the choreography or meet rehearsal expectations may be removed from the production at any time. We understand that this can be challenging, but these decisions are made to ensure the overall success and quality of the performance.
Audition
Auditions are open to all dancers ages 6-18.

Boys: Black tights, white t-shirt, ballet shoes.

Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to register. Be warmed up and ready to learn choreography. Choreography for several roles will be presented during the audition. Dancers may be cast in a role that was not presented at the audition.
